BEL Contracting was contracted by Port Metro Vancouver to widen an existing rail bridge over Lynn Creek and make improvements to the existing rail / road grade separation at Brooksbank Avenue.  This project involved the installation of pile supported piers and abutments within the creek bed, widening of the rail bridge to accommodate 6 new tracks, expansion of the Brooksbank Avenue underpass complete with retaining walls for the underpass approaches, installation of new riparian and in-stream fish habitat and river bank stabilization.  BEL Contracting successfully completed this project within all fisheries and environmental guidelines while providing uninterrupted access to local port facilities and businesses.
